Because of this we can offer our guests cutting edge procedures and techniques combined with superior customer service.
Michael A. Janicke Jr was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Massachusetts when he was a teen. He has over 28 years of experience in both state of the art cutting and coloring. Since opening his own salon in 1986 Michael was the first official state hairdresser for the Massachusetts Miss America Pageant Program. Michael has earned numerous national cutting and coloring certificates and is a licensed Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology Instructor, as well as certified educator for Framesi, and Tocco Magico hair color. He has salon experience in NYC, Palm Beach, and Newton, MA as well as the Taunton/Raynham area. His goal is to enhance the beauty of his clients by using his extensive professional experience and training to bring out their best.
Brittany Ferriera has been a part of the team at Michael’s Hair Salon since June of 2014. She graduated from the cosmetology program at Bristol-Plymouth Vocational in 2009. She continued her education at Ailano’s Beauty School and graduated as a licensed hairstylist in 2014. Brittany continues to educate herself in the latest styling and cutting techniques with a work ethic that is sure to add to her success in this industry. “I am certified in Brazilian Blow-Out, as well as professional epilating and waxing services through Satin Smooth. I completed Greg Zorian’s “One Day Barbering Seminar” and became certified in men’s barbering and grooming techniques. I am passionate about the creative process, especially in styling and finish work. I really love expressing my creativity through up-styles for any special occasion, especially weddings and proms. Creating a memorable style for someone’s special day really means a lot to me and I strive to see that same look of delight on my clients’ faces every day. My long term goals include working towards my Class 1 License and someday opening a salon of my very own. The techniques, professionalism and passion I have already absorbed here are amazing, and I’m so glad I get to be a part of such a great team of truly talented professionals.
Tina brings energy and experience to Michael’s Hair Salon. She received awards from Jingle’s Hair Academy in cutting and coloring and in highlighting from Matrix International. Tina worked for ten years as a master stylist with Lord’s & Lady’s Hair Salon in Boston and has a total of thirty-seven years experience. She is also certified in Brazilian Blowouts and Matrix Color. She has enjoyed making people beautiful and happy at Michael’s as an individual contractor since 2018.
Jennifer is a Taunton native and has been in the industry for 20 years. After completion of cosmetology school at Rob Roy Academy in 2000. She started her career working for Regis Corporation at Cost Cutters until 2005 the transferred to Regis Salon at the Galleria Mall in Taunton, she furthered her education by attending the many classes Regis offered to their staff, some of the classes are Kerastraight Smoothing System, Advanced Color Correction course provided by Matrix Color Professional, a number of hands-on training in cutting and coloring techniques for both men and women. In 2014 Jennifer became the Manager at Regis Salon in the Dartmouth Mall, She managed a team of 16 stylists as well as train all new staff. All while continuing to do what she does best behind the chair. Also during this time frame she was certified in the Malibu C Wellness brand that she had the opportunity to attend their Academy, where Jennifer learned the benefits that their products have on the hair and scalp, especially with removing minerals in the hair and aiding in color correction.
In 2017 it was time for a new direction for Jennifer, she’s excited to be a independent contractor at Michael’s Hair Salon and has already furthered her education by becoming certified in the Brazilian Blowout smoothing system and plans on continuing to further her education, and has already learned so much from the many talented stylists at Michael’s Hair Salon.
